LIBERATION


Hope and despair
nestle as a pair
side by side
within me.

One year is done
in the blink of an eye
a new one begun
to eternity.

Hold my hand
and understand
and bind me
to set me free.

Bid me to live
and I will live
from now and then
forever to be.
